Breaking Bad Scripts?

I love this show - so serious, yet so funny all at the same time. Does anybody know where I can obtain a copy of the Pilot script + one or two additional episodes? Even a transcript would be okay. Thanks!

Character Development Challenge

Which character (not a main one) would you like to have more information about? Or, is there a character that you think should be introduced to more fully develop the story? Who is this person, and how will they contribute to what we already know?

Great Music for Breaking Bad!

I just wanted to tip my hat to whomever is in charge of choosing the music for Breaking Bad. From the theme song to the song played at the closing of season 1* it was all fantastic, and quite appropriate.

Keep up the great work in Season 2!

*"Who's Gonna Save My Soul" (by Gnarls Barkley) was the song they played at end of the Season 1 finale (Episode 7) of Breaking Bad, as the camera pans away from Walt and Jesse standing in the junkyard, mouths agape after having just delivered 4.6 pounds of meth to Tuco who, after snorting some of it, proceeds to beat his "associate" nearly to death merely for speaking out of turn. Great song, which was quite fitting in that closing scene.

In case you missed it on the main blog, it is time for us to CELEBRATE! and whoop in fine style to honor of this week's announcement of ...

A SEASON TWO FOR BREAKING BAD!

Party time my friends!
I fully expect you all to dance no matter how bad a dancer you may be. :o)

In consideration of Walt's health and my boy Jesse's desire to clean up his act, while you will be required to bring something to pass, there are NO drugs or alcohol allowed at this glorious series renewal PARTAY!

I'll make some cookies :o)
Of course I'm a lousy cook so I'll apologize for the poor quality of cyber-cookies right now!

All kidding aside -- Seriously, you WILL ALL dance... go on... get up and do it.. NOW -- this is really great news we should all take a moment to share together as a fan community as well as offering up a quick thanks to AMC for bringing us 13 more episodes of the best stuff on TV.

**Tips goblet of sparkling fruit juice in toast**

Many heartfelt thanks AMC!

You're My Big Man

This is what Walt says, in part, in the videotaped message he plans to leave for his wife and son in the pilot episode. Anybody else think that's kind of weird thing to say to a child in his mid-teens?

More Episodes Please!

I just wanted to pitch in my two cents.

I have a long forgotten love of Science and Chemistry that has been renewed after watching this show.

I have even recently looked into taking some courses on Chemistry down at the local college. People need to be reminded just how complex, intricate, and interesting this world is (and all the matter that comprises it), as episode 6 illustrates nicely.
Breaking Bad is brilliant -- perhaps a step beyond brilliant. I was so blown away by the scene where they have a "cancer intervention" with Walt. It was just acting, but I'll be damned if it didn't bring more than just a tear to my eye! (Damn you!) What a stellar cast. Every single one of them deserves full Kudos for portraying their characters so flawlessly. Even the finessing touch of the "Talking Pillow"! God! My Mother used to employ a similar "token" during heated family conversations (and my father would use and accept the token just about as begrudgingly as Hank did).

I came here to find out why there are no episodes past episode 7?? Who do you think you guys are? Even Larry David, a retired Billionaire who writes, acts in, and produces Curb Your Enthusiasm, in his free time does 10 episodes a season!

I wait with breathless anticipation for your next brilliant season of Breaking Bad (which will hopefully have more than 7 episodes).

My hat goes off to you Vince Gilligan! Now please apply yourself to the task of securing a 2nd season, or I will have "Walter" come talk to you.

Touched by Breaking Bad

This is one of the most interesting, creative, daring, and captivating shows I've ever been privileged to be hooked on. No other show has me setting my time clock quicker than this one. I even set it a day or two in advance. When I noticed there was no sign of an episode coming up I got worried. After frantically checking this site, I see that what I thought was just another episode leading me down this great path of excitement, was in fact the season finale?

That is a blow to my system, but not as much as never seeing this show again would be. This is not a show you treat lightly. It must be understood that many have already invested a lot of emotion into the storyline, the concept, and not to mention the awesome cast. I am touched by this show because I myself have lung cancer and I also at times have made myself an illegal profit.

If I don't see this show returning, and returning in full effect, I will be put off of AMC for quite a while, perhaps indefinitely. To all those who break bad, keep the dream alive!

Any Word on the Second Season?

Ever since the last episode, I have been frequently checking the site to see if the show got picked up for a second season (How could they not!?)

I was just wondering when they will know about a second season, and then if they do get picked up, when new episodes will begin.
I misssss it!

Walt's Son

Is this kid for real or is he an extremely gifted actor? My wife and I love the sideline of the sticky-handed sister. I personally loved the episode where the Brother in Law takes the son to the Meth Motel, dead nuts on and hilarious. The tell-tale rotting teeth says it all.

Breaking Bad Episode VII: Yeah, Science!

If the entire first season up until now has been about the pain and horror of one man Breaking Bad, tonight's season finale was all about that one man enjoying it, such as it is. "Where did that come from," Skyler asks, "and why was it so damn good?" Walt responds, "Because it's illegal."

The sentiment is echoed throughout the episode, when Walt smokes an illegal Cuban cigar with Hank, when he encourages Jesse to think creatively about getting the necessary supplies (by going to the black market, I assume). Jesse, it seems, is enjoying a transformation of his own --"Yeah Science!" he exclaims when Walt comes up with a plan to manufacture meth without stealing 300 bottles of pseudo. But more than that, Mr. White is encouraging him, forcing him to think creatively, and the two are starting to view each other as more than either burdens or cash cows. They're forming almost a father-son bond.

The worst is not over for Walt--the sombering speech he gives to his unborn daughter is enough to remind us of that. And I would never for a moment think that the horrors of his new line of work have been put to rest. His new buyer has proven himself to be a homicidal maniac, and any pleasure Walt may be taking is tempered by the sheer brutality of his reality. But it was nice, for at least one episode, to see him alive and in his own way, happy.

What did you guys think of the season one finale?
