When do they go On Demand? Frankly I'm getting tired of waiting to watch the 3rd episode of this show...
I am in the process of getting the official word on when episodes are made available On Demand. As soon as I hear back, I'll let you all know. Thanks for your patience!
Please tell me that DirecTV will have Breaking Bad HD on demand soon...
@viewer: I'll find out for you.
any word yet as to when episode 3 will be posted?
I have looked everywhere for Breaking Bad On Demand on Cox and when I go to Freezone, then Cable TV Showcase there is no AMC section and I have tried looking in all of the sub catagories within Cable TV Showcase and I have yet to find it. Why is it not there?

Sorry about the double post my mistake.
@Cable: I'll e-mail the affiliate and try to figure out what's going on. Where are you located that it's not working?
I'm In Orange County, California
@Cable: Here's the scoop.
To get to Breaking Bad:
1. Click on FreeZone
2. Click on Cable TV Showcase
3. The 2nd listing here is AMC Breaking Bad...click on that to get the episodes
The challenge is that Cox is supposed to place it in the same place everywhere but not every individual headend maps it to the same place. We have no control over this.
If you cannot find it there, the word is you need to call your local Cox office. We will also track down the Orange County office to see if there's a problem.
Another suggestion is to re-boot your cable box. Sometimes OD content does not appear until after a box re-boots. However, BB has been up for sometime so I would be surprised if this is the problem.
Hello.
A friend just told us about this show. We watched what is listed as the first episode on Comcast on demand last night. After looking at the web site today, it appears as though Comcast does not have the 2 hour pilot and I didn't see the pilot on your site listings. Where or how can we see the pilot?
Thanks.
@lizzie: there was no two-hour pilot. What did you see? If what you saw was the episode where Walt is diagnosed with cancer, then that is the pilot.
@Cable: We did more checking. It turns out Cox Orange County did NOT take Breaking Bad due to server capacity issues. According to them, they are server constrained in Orange County at this time. There is an upgrade which should be complete in a couple of months...at that point
they will add our stuff. But all other systems have it.
I'm sorry I don't have better news. But you can still download episodes on iTunes and Unbox if that helps...
I contacted my provider (Charter in Janesville/Ft Atkinson Wisconsin) and they were no help at all. I can find the HD version under "HD On Demand", but I cannot find the standard definition version.
We don't have a "TV Entertainment" selection.
There is a "Cable Networks" selection and a "Premiums" selection, and AMC isn't on either one.
But again, Breaking Bad IS offered on the HD menu.
I've seen the first two episodes, but I accidentally started watching episode 4 next and got it "spoiled" for me, I stopped watching after the first few minutes. I need to see episode 3 first. I want to participate on this website but I can't look at it unless I'm up-to-date and I'm feeling left out.
I think it's awesome that it's on Amazon Unbox and iTunes, but I'm paying a lot for cable already. I wish the episodes would overlap more on the regular schedule.
Here's the conversation with Charter:
Nick : My name is Nick. Thank you for contacting Charter Communications. How may I assist you?
Me: I can find the HD version of "Breaking Bad" from AMC on the On Demand menu, but I can't find the regular version
Nick : I'm sorry to hear that.
Nick : Unfortunately in a situation like this, there wouldn't be much we could do to fix the issue. I could have been removed by accident by the On Demand provider. Usually if there is a HD version, the regular version is also available to watch.
Me: well, it might be there, how do i know where it is supposed to be?
Nick : It would have to be under the AMC menu since that is the channel that is playing it.
Me: There is no AMC menu
Nick : I'm sorry, I meant in the On Demand menu.
Me: What does that mean?
Nick : If you can't find the regular version in the On Demand menu, if could have been removed. I've had the same situation happen to me before.
Me: Under Cable Networks, there is no AMC option, isn't that a problem?
Nick : I don't know. Charter doesn't actually decide how the On Demand menu is layed out. We only provide the service to our customers.
Me: So who do I talk to?
Nick : I suppose you would want to contact AMC.
Me: Does AMC design the On Demand menu? AMC told me to contact my provider.
Nick : I can make a note of the issue and send it to my superiors, but I can't guarantee that a change will be made.
Me: Well, I'd like someone to know.
Nick : Understandable.
Nick : Is there anything else I can help you with today?
Melissa Rogers: No, thanks.
What do you make of that?
Thank God for Itunes.
I had cancelled my DirecTV about 4 months ago due to not finding much on tv that interests me. My friend showed me this show, and now, I get my weekly fix at i-tunes, and download the episodes to my I-pod nano.
Technology is a wonderful thing. And so is 'Breaking Bad'. Great cast, interesting premise, and I can never predict what is going to happen.
Thanks
Ron T.
i want to watch, just put it on the net already.i dont have cable,i work so there is no point.internet is the only way i have time.get with the program.......per say
@dawn: Unfortunately AMC won't be able to put more episodes on the site for free. However, you can download all the episodes on iTunes or amazon.com's Unbox.
Hope that helps
@bloodymary: Sounds pretty strange. I've been told that if you reboot your cable box, sometimes missing programs can show up...I would suggest trying that.
I tried rebooting again today - no dice :(
Do you know who I should contact? My cable company doesn't seem to think it's their "department" and told me to contact "AMC".
@bloodymary: I'll ask around, though in the past problems like this have always been a function of what the provider is up to. I don't know why they would have told you to go back to us, but I'll make sure there's nothing we can do on our end. Hang tough!
I do get breaking bad on demand via cablevision
just as i did with mad men
The funny thing though is that as of now they have all the currently shown episodes up there EXCEPT for the first one
which really sicks acuse i keep wanting to turn people on to the show but they dont wanna watch it unless they can see the first one
H E L P
@jimiphil: Not sure why Cablevision doesn't have the first episode. But for the next week we actually have the first and second episodes available on our website for free:
http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1336690183/bclid1341017816/bctid1400565057
After that, you can still always download them on iTunes or Amazon.com's Unbox.
Thanks for turning people on to the show!
I was disappointed to hear the iTunes copies of the BrBa episodes were censored ("Disneyfied" to quote the poster). I also understand the quality isn't as high as Amazon Unbox.
I won't use Amazon Unbox with their draconian (may-as-well rootkit customer's PCs) policies. I'm not happy to see "the fine print" make it so comletely into online agreements. Has Bezos been locked away and is someone else making policy at Amazon these days? I'm reminded of the movie Robots (i.e. Ratchet's management) by the situation with Amazon Unbox.
I would most prefer to see AMC manage their own download purchase mechanism. I want to see the full episodes like they were on the AMC website. How about it?
The version of the pilot shown on the website was (also) fantastic. I really liked the material that had been cut from the broadcast version. I had felt something was either missing from the broadcast version or the jitteriness was by design.
Both varients have their virtues, so I'd like to see both available. Any chance Breaking Bad is going to make it to DVD with "Bonus material"?
Why a DVD request in a download discussion? I think the issues I've raised explain completely. I can sympathize with commercial concerns, but I'm not the problem and I surely won't allow the kind of access into my home that Unbox insist I allow.
I am getting pissed off that you guys do not have amc on demand so quit telling me to go look for breaking bad on demand. I have been waiting to watch episode three for like a decade now - and lastly when will season two start????
I no longer see BB on my On Demand listings. I have Comcast in Portland, Oregon, and go to TV Entertainment | AMC | Breaking Bad. Any idea why you're not there anymore? Thanks.
